Back To The Future: The Game Demo

After recently releasing the Back To The Future Trilogy on Blu-Ray now there is the BTTF: The Game.  They split it into five episodes and released it December 22, 2010 for Windows and Mac OS X and February 15, 2011 for PlayStation 3 and iPad.  Unfortunately you can’t buy a physical copy, hence you can’t rent it.  You have to purchase the download while it’s only $20 you still would like to know if it’s any good.  The good news is you can download the demo for free to give you a taste of what this BTTF: The Game is all about.

If you decide to buy the game you will recieve each episode when they are individually released, yes, you read that right.  I have never heard of that before either.  The episode names in order are “It’s About Time”, “Get Tannen!”, “Citizen Brown”, “Double Visions” and ”Outatime”.

Now how does one review a game like this?  Do I tell you it’s only $20 to get the newest peice of BTTF?  Do I ask you how can you not live without seeing how the BTTF story continues.  Do I even tell you how this looks and plays like the 90′s cartoon and comics (which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you felt about the two)?

End of the day it’s a nostalgic easy to play puzzle game you can download the demo for free for.  To make it even better you make choices along the way very similar to the classic Choose You Own Adventure books from the 1980′s.  Now is it fun to play?  That’s really a tough call.  Part of me wishes if I could just press a button and the game would just play itself, sort of like a movie.  Sadly the second the game starts to really heat up the demo is over, TO BE CONTINUED!!!
