I still have fond memories of my kid sister playing Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit back in 1998. All she would ever talk about is how she had all the cars (trust me there were a LOT of cars) and how she was beating all the cops. Now after various imitations; NFS High Stakes, NFS Hot Pursuit 2, NFS Most Wanted, NFS Carbon and NFS Undercover, the real deal, Hot Pursuit is finally back after 12 years and better than ever. There is a reason it’s the first game in the Need For Speed series since the original Hot Pursuit to win an E3 award let alone “Racing Game” and many other “Best of E3″-awards at E3 2010.
I really don’t know where to start with this game; the graphics, racing from police, being a cop and tracking people down, the scenery, the real world car physics or just the cars themselves. This is the kind of game that you can get lost in. There is just so much going on. A non-stop thrill ride to say the least.
This game is a 10 in every phrase of the word, a perfect 10. Would I say a must buy, no, for the mere fact I don’t know how much replay value it holds. What I will say is it is a MUST RENT probably will keep you entertained for a month and if you feel like it will entertain you longer go ahead and buy it.
