I hope I don’t get massive emails from animal rights organizations about what I am about to write.  Someone needs to do it, so why not someone half way around the world haha.  Don’t worry; I’ll be stateside August 28^th to all my readers out there, Sactown baby!!

Let’s get down to business.  How long did you think it would take for Michael Vick to get a job?  I thought it would have taken a little longer; I am surprised that it happened before the first pre season game.  I have a feeling that having Tony Dungy by your side helped speed up the process.  If you can’t trust Tony Dungy, then really, who can you trust in this world?  A lot of the articles that I’ve read have said that Philadelphia isn’t a good fit for Vick.  I disagree on this point, if you take a look at the players that have come through Philadelphia, they aren’t all perfect angels.  Take Terrell Owens for example, Andy Reid has been known to take on character players for his roster.  I feel that Vick and McNabb will form a good bond.  There is no QB controversy in Phili, let’s close that door now.   He also has a close friend and former college teammate, DeAngelo Hall of the Washington Redskins in the surrounding area.

Who thought that Vick would come to a team and start immediately?  Vick is happy just to be on a team, playing the only sport he knows how.  It is a million times better to be a backup in the NFL then where his previous residence was.  I heard something saying that Vick looked bigger in the upper arm area.  This should come as no shock to anyone based on where he was living previously.  What else was he doing with his time?  I don’t agree with any of the actions that Michael Vick did, but I do believe in second chances.  The question I ask you is, did his previous actions aid him on the football field?  Did he gamble on his sport?  Did he take steroids or HGH?  I feel that he didn’t do anything to help him on the football field, and he should be allowed to play the sport he loves again.  There is a lot of bad press given to drug users or cheaters in your related sport, and yet those players are allowed to play after missing significant time.  Michael Vick will get a starting job again, it may take a while, but it is a big step in the right direction getting signed by an NFL team.

I think that Vick will get playing time anywhere on the field. He is a great athlete, and being in shape shouldn’t be a concern for Vick.  I feel that he has kept that aspect of his life in order over the past year.  Andy Reid is perfect for him; it’s the West Coast system, which he used in Atlanta.  Reid also is notorious for trick plays; Vick is the ultimate secret weapon.  Watch out for Chris Berman’s top ten plays for the upcoming season, Vick will be right in the middle of all of them.
